Duckies

Getting back on the blogging tracks (after some technical problems with my, say, editor's computer, then somehow attempting to figure-it-all-out again). To get started, I'd like to take a moment and meditate over those shoes, the ones from the previous post.
The fact is, I'm madly in love with derby shoes. And it appears to be a difficult love when I find the brand of my choice too expensive. So imagine how contented I was when I found those black, shiny dress shoes at the bottom of an old shoe cupboard at home a few weeks ago. They belonged to my brother once, but he's abandoned them due to the vicious comments like: "Are you wearing correction shoes?" Well, I'm perfectly fine with that! I've even noticed some resemblance with the brown Kenzo derby shoes showed above, the poster of which I've found when flicking through a fashion mag (cut point, wide brim sole). And what I like about my finds as well is the high heel. Adopting them, I didn't forget about a proper name. Duckies. Well, they could be less wide.

On a side note, a few months ago I wrote an article about Derby shoes for Chasseur Magazine. You can have a look here.
