On a coffee table: i-D

A couple of days ago I finished my cover-to-cover reading of the Just Kids Issue of i-D. Being the biggest fan of original and peculiar faces, such as Shaun Ross, Robert Laby, Vanessa Paradis or Sophie Vlaming, the choice of cover was easy: Kelly Mittendorf (she could be Ben Whishaw's sister, couldn't she?).

The issue is full of odes to the youth, both in text and in pictures. My favorite parts include the sharp-witted, quirky interview given by Cara Delevinge (the latest catwalk star, the Burberry S/S '12 campaign face alongside Eddie Redmayne), the wild and vivid photo editorial by Sølve Sundsbø, words spread of Chinese photographer Chen Man, the piece with Garrett Hedlund from movie adaptation of Jack Kerouac's On The Road and certainly the article shoving talented, independent and rising editors-in-chief through hundreds of online publications; their brilliant magazines can be found here:
