Wanderlust wear

Standing in front of an open closet I sometimes ponder, am I (in a mood for) an English gentleman type or is my sense of aesthetics heading rather towards a sartorial state of mind in which I would readily dress like a bohemian Factory city dweller? And there is also that lovely wanderlust type of style, so soaked in wildness and road vagabonding. Right now I feel mostly inspired by the latter. Let's have a quick look at the details of a wanderlust-inspired ensemble I've composed in a collage form to articulate my sartorial musings better.
Suede cognac jacket. Ideally, it should be in a shade oscillating between chocolate and burgundy, but cognac brown is also perfectly fine. I've chosen the classic bomber-style Men's Weather Ready Suede Jacket from Norm Thompson with a spread collar. It looks wonderfully lightweight; I believe that with its long sleeves and dropped shoulders it would sag neatly on a body. The ribbed knit cuffs and waist could help to keep it in a proper folded shape. No external pockets.
Suede boots. Footwear-wise, when to the open road, nothing's probably better than ankle-high desert boots. A mustard tint may be overused, but my love for brown suede desert boots is perpetual. Here: Opening Ceremony Suede Desert Boots.
Burgundy skinnies. I think a red wine colour of the trousers would harmonize with browns of the jacket and the boots pretty well. ASOS Super Skinny Jeans In Burgundy.
Aztec denim shirt. My first choice was a floral print on a denim shirt, but I think an aztec tapestry pattern on a blue denim matches desert browns better. Buttoned-up. That one has a Ralph Lauren label inside.
Necklaces. I've always adored feather necklaces. In this case, I would choose a metal feather pendant that comes with a Simon Carter Feather Necklace. I think an additional Antler Necklace from KR3W, a southern California-based brand, worn outside the shirt, would make an outfit look ever more bold.
Tortoise reading glasses. To get that Johnny Depp's through-shades gaze, I'd put some round glasses on. Tortoise pattern is very retro, and the Oliver hornrim reading glasses seem just like a perfect choice.
Watch. Not much to describe. Around the World Leather Watch from Urban Outfitters is simply brilliant.
Journal/briefcase. To finish up the outfit, I would add a small smart accent. Whenever asked what I would take with myself to an island, my answer always includes a journal. With a wanderlust motif, it just seems like a dream coming true. Above, this is a hand-sewn messenger leather journal from Rustico Leather.
